October 13, 2009 - The Perma-Chew Ostrich Steak

This morning was rainy again, so we tried to go shopping but no luck, we never found the shopping mall! The weather cleared so we opted to hit the beach instead and Sami went surfing again.

Gen was reading her book on a bench when she got attacked by kisses from a group of local kids. They got pretty intense at one point, trying to steal the rubber band in her hair, so she chased them away. She finish her reading into the safety, comfort and warmth of the car!

We went for dinner at Die Walskipper, a cute restaurant directly on the beach. The setting was very nice, with the sounds from the sea and our feet in the sand, however the food was very disappointing. Gen's seafood plate was very ordinary and Sami's ostrich steak took forever to chew! Gen tried to have some too but gave up very quickly as her jaw was hurting from all the chewing!!
