Today we drove on the famed S100 with the hopes of seeing lions - but no luck!
We still managed to spot a good number of animals including a bucketload of impalas.
We stopped at a very beautiful viewpoint called N'wanetsi.
Later we were lucky enough to spot some sleeping lions. They can be very difficult to spot because they blend in perfectly with the savannah grass.
We stopped at Satara Camp for lunch and to start working on this jounal, which was ideal because it was the hottest period of the day, where few animals are generally seen. However, we could see a number of giraffes right from where we were sitting in the restaurant which was pretty amazing!
On the way back we spotted a tree that looked like a pair of lungs.
We then drove to Tamboti without seeing many animals, but we stayed in a very nice safari tent that was secluded in woods and pure wilderness. Our tent was right on the edge of the camp overlooking a dried up riverbed, and there were no animals to be seen at night.
Animals we saw today:
Zebras
Buffaloes
Nyalas
Impalas
Giraffes
Baboons
Vervet monkeys
African fish eagle
Elephants
Waterbuck
Wildebeests
Hippos
Lions
Hyena
Warthogs
